Long Island's Premier Rim Polishing Service
Rim Polishing
If your wheels are polished and you need to have them refinished Reliable Rim Repair can help.
The first step in the process is to strip off the old finish on the wheel. This process involve lightly sanding the wheel followed by a more abrasive sanding technique that will remove any curb dame (curb rash). The rims are cleaned, rinsed and prepared for the buffing process.
Buffing of the rims takes time and requires expertise and a great deal of elbow grease. Several coats of polish is used until your rims are looking factory brand new. On most wheels a clear coat is applied and baked in to complete the process.
If you are unsure if your rim qualifies for wheel polishing stop in and speak to one of our friendly representatives. We look forward to helping you.

Our Process
Reliable Rim Repair of Long Island offers rim polishing - an arduous process of sanding and buffing your wheels. The old finish will be stripped off and any curb damage will be repaired. Then we start with a low grit sanding (typically an 80-180 grit strength). After each sanding, the wheels will be rinsed, then the strength of the grit is increased, potentially all the way to a polishing grit of 2500!
We carry a wide range of colors and always look to expand our color options. Whether you desire a glossy, satin, matte or metallic finish, Reliable Rim Repair of Long Island can powder coat your rims to your personal liking.
If you have any further questions, feel free to call us at (631) 201-2003, or stop by our shop with your wheels to discuss if our powder coating process is right for your rims.
